    Dear Parents,

    In response to school closure we have prepared a few suggestions for keeping your child on track for when they return to us in April.

    READING AND WRITING

    Reading any and all kinds of books is so important! Please remember to read!

    Scholastic has many day by day articles and activities that align with grade level standards.  These activities are fun and interactive. http://www.scholastic.com/learnathome

    Students may assess Get Epic at http://www.getepic.com h

    Students may also access http://www.StorylineOnline.net  This website includes stories read aloud to them.   

    They can write a variety of stories. We are beginning to write narrative stories which include characters, setting, problem and solution.  Practice using dialogue within stories. The possibilities are endless!

    MATH

    Zearn is a great way to have your child stay on track. It mirrors the same strategies and standards we teach in class.

    Your child would also greatly benefit from simply practicing their multiplication and division math facts either by using flashcards, writing down facts, or practicing them orally. 

    SCIENCE AND ART

    Mystery Science is a website with fun science activities for the children.

    Arthub for kids is a fun site with lots of drawing activities… it’s on YouTube.

    There are so many free and available resources showing up each day.  Additional websites are available under our Additional Language Arts Activities, Additional Math Activities and Additional Online Activities links.
